The Adventures of Dot and Mae

Today is Friday - that is a good day for Dot and Mae because it means that Big Girl Gabriella will not have school tomorrow and can stay home and play with them all day long! Until then, they have a lot of chores to do. (They have a lot of chores for such tiny little girls!) They have to clean up their home in the china cupboard. They smooth out their little sleeping bags and make sure they look very tidy and neat. Then they sweep away the crumbs from their midnight snack - usually cookies or crackers or something like that. If they have dirty dishes, they have to wash those and put them away, as well. On Friday, they also like to clean their dresses so they are ready for any weekend entertaining that might come up, like if Tipsy or Senorita Pinguino invites them to a party, of if Mrs Miyako wants to stop by with Satsuki and Mei, then the girls are all ready to go! They just have to wash their faces and HOORAY! they are ready to party!

After they are done with all their chores, they like to play games or color or make stuff and relax. Today, since it’s still so cold out, they decided to stay inside and play with Mae’s lovely blue ball. She got the ball for Christmas and she loves it because it’s just such a lovely shade of blue - like a robin’s egg. It’s also very bouncy and makes her laugh if she’s feeling tired of all the snow and being cooped up inside too much!

Look out, Dot! Watch that, Mae! You’re going to break something if you don’t settle down! Wait don’t throw that . . . there. oooops . . . gotta go!
