The Adventures of Dot and Mae

Dot and Mae had a question yesterday about who was Dot and who was Mae, so they wanted to clear things up for you, dear readers.

Mae Merriweather wears the white dress because she’s the more careful one of the two girls. She can eat lots of chocolate kisses and sugar cookies and run around and play and not get her dress stained with candy or dirt. She also has a birthmark on her forehead which she likes because it’s something that makes her special and different from everyone else. Mae is a very sweet little baby doll and she likes the color pink and frosty light blue, but she can also be quite mischievous! She loves to play practical jokes on her friends and they always blame Dot - until they get to know the two girls better and they realize that Mae is the sneaky one! Mae also cares about everyone and she always remembers to say prayers for all her friends and she loves to cook and make treats for everyone.

Dot, on the other hand, wears the green dress because there is nothing she likes more than to run around and play and get all messy! She forgets sometimes, and uses her skirt as a napkin. She also does a lot of art projects and occasionally gets glue or glitter or paint on herself - she can’t help it because it just HAPPENS! Dot’s full name is Dot Periwinkle (because that’s one of her favorite colors and she just likes the way it sounds, so cute like a fairy name!) Everyone loves Dot because she is very funny. She loves to tell jokes and crazy stories and make funny faces and tickle everyone! Underneath all her silliness she is a little sweetie who wants to make people happy and have fun.
