Hello, Dear Reader, how was your weekend? Dot and Mae had a grand time at Tipsy’s party on Saturday! The party started about 7:00 p.m. and lasted until, oh who knows when! Dot and Mae wish you could have been there. When they first arrived at the party, Dot and Mae were kind of shy since they only knew Tipsy so they sat near a lovely couple who brought their dog. The couple was so nice and funny that Dot and Mae liked them right away. They told Dot and Mae that they had lived in the neighborhood for a very long time and knew practically everyone. They let Dot and Mae pet their sweet dog, named Pluto, and they invited Dot and Mae to stop by sometime and have tea with them. It wasn’t until later that Dot and Mae realized they had spent part of the evening with a famous acting couple! It was quite a refreshing surprise, seeing as how the couple was so down to earth and not the least bit snobby as one might expect those Hollywood types to be.
Tipsy was a very good host and everyone wanted to have some of his time, but he handled it very well and introduced the girls around to everyone at the party. They met a perfectly lovely yellow chick named Salt, which seems like a strange name, but not nearly as strange as Salt Chick’s brother’s name, Pepper. The chicks live near Tipsy in the china cupboard and they are the most silly chickens that Dot and Mae ever met. The chicks love to do impressions and can Mimic Tipy’s Scottish brogue to a T. There was no end to their amusement, doing impressions of Elvis, and John Wayne, Cary Grant and Sean Connery (which sounds a lot like Tipsy, to be honest). The girls shared some of their elephant jokes with the chicks and they laughed uproariously a them. The photo is a little blurry becauseTipsy took it when the girls and the chicks were dancing the Hokey Pokey and didn’t know their picture was being taken.
Tipsy served wonderful food at his party - plenty of cheeses and fruit, vegetables and ranch dip, spinach dip and chunks of sourdough bread, plus some cakes and cookies and his famous fizzy sherbet punch, which it turns out isn’t so hard to make after all. Just take the sherbert and put it into the punch bowl, and pour over ginger ale and stir well. It’s so simple! Tipsy said he didn’t mind sharing the recipe, it’s just some myth that he guards the recipe since everyone requests that he make it at every party. The girls drank and ate until they couldn’t take another bite. They danced and played games and got to bed sometime in the early morning hours. They wished you could have come to the party and maybe next time you can!

yea!!! im so excited for the next party!!!
